The United States has one of the worst records in the industrialized nations in regards to child abuse. On average 4-7 children die every day from abuse. More than 80% of the children who die are not even old enough to attend kindergarten. 36% of all women in prison were abused as children. 90% of all child sex victims knew their perpetrator.
